The Siren's Board

This is the basin's food, not mine. Some of it I worked out at my own bar on a slow night. More of it walked in the door already good, and I only wrote it down.

Where I know whose kitchen a dish came from, I say so. Osmund's stew is Osmund's, Yrla's scones are Yrla's, and they'll get the credit here that they get at the Whistle. Where telling you more than that would cost someone something they didn't offer to give up, I leave it there and move on.

Everything in this book works. I tested what I could stand over myself and trusted the keepers who gave me the rest. If a dish asks for something you won't find this side of the fjord, I've told you what to use instead. Cook it. That's the whole point of writing it down.
